Where quote requests go

Updated 4 September 2026

Someone fills in the quote form on your Pro page. Here is the whole path, because you should not have to trust a black box with the request that pays for your week.

The order things happen in

  1. The request is written to the database first, before the customer is told it worked.
  2. Only then does the page say "sent".
  3. An email alert goes to you.

That order matters. If the alert fails, whether that is our mail provider having a bad morning, your server greylisting us. the request is still saved and still in your inbox. The reverse design, where success is reported first and stored second, is how a form quietly loses jobs.

If the save fails, the customer is told so and asked to try again. Nobody is shown a success message for something that did not happen.

Reading them

Every request lands in the Leads inbox in your dashboard with what they asked for, how to reach them, and the vehicle and timing when they gave you those. Each one carries a status you set as you work it: new, contacted, quoted, won, lost. That is a working list, not a sales prediction: nothing is scored or forecast. You can filter the inbox by status.

The alert email

Sent the moment a request arrives, so you can reply while they are still deciding.

Replying to the alert goes straight to the customer. Reply-To is set to their address. The form asks for a phone number and an email and requires both, so you can always call them back and always put the price in writing, which is what quoting the job takes.

A handful of older requests, taken before both were required, have only one of the two. Where there is no email address the alert carries no Reply-To at all and tells you to call or text instead; we will not tell you to reply to an email that would go nowhere near the customer.

Who owns the request

You do. It is your customer's detail, held by us on your behalf. We do not market to the people who fill in your form, we do not sell the data, and we do not use it for anything except getting it to you. Ask and we will export it; ask and we will delete it. The privacy page says the same thing in more detail.

If an alert did not arrive

Check the Leads inbox first. If the request is there, the request is safe and it is only the email that failed. Then check spam, and confirm the alert address on your account is one you actually read. If the inbox is empty too, tell us with roughly when it happened and we will go and look.

Did this not answer it?

One person reads every message that comes through the form. Tell them what you were trying to do.
