Remove a listing

Most listings in the directory were built from public business data. The business did not submit them and was not asked. If one should not be here, ask us to take it down on the removal form.

What the form asks for

• Which listing. Paste its address (washnear.me/w/…) or type the business name. Opening the form from a listing fills this in for you.
• Who is asking. Whether you own or work at the business, represent it, or are a customer.
• Why it should come down. Permanently closed, not a car wash or detailer, a duplicate of another listing, or the business does not want to be in the directory.
• Your name, email and phone number. All three are required, because a takedown is not something to act on without being able to reach the person who asked for it.

What happens next

A person reads every request. We check it is genuine, which usually means calling or writing to the details you leave. An unclaimed listing built from public data comes down. A listing somebody has claimed and verified goes to its owner first, because it is theirs to change.

Nothing on the listing changes while a request is being checked.

When a correction is the better route

If the business is still trading and the page is simply wrong (closed on the day, moved, the wrong hours or the wrong phone number), that is a correction, not a removal. Use the contact form and we will fix the stored facts.

If the business is yours and you would rather run the page than remove it, you can claim it instead. Claiming gives you the editor; removal takes the record out of the directory.
