How to claim and verify your listing

Your business may already be in the locator. Listings can be built from public business data, so their existence does not mean someone from the business added them or controls them.

Find your listing

Go to Claim your listing and enter the business name. Choose the matching result, or start a new listing when there is no match. Its public URL looks like washnear.me/w/your-business.

Take it over for free, if your email is on your business domain

An existing listing can be managed by its owner at no cost. Choose Owner-managed on the claim card and use an email address on the same domain as the listing's website. [email protected] for a listing whose website is acmewash.com. That match is the whole check, and it is made by a machine on the spot. A Gmail address, a subdomain, or a listing with no website cannot be confirmed this way; the card then offers Pro, where a person checks ownership before your page goes live.

Owner-managed means you edit the facts a driver acts on: hours, phone, website, category, service tags and where you serve. You also get three photos of your work and the real counts of what customers did on your listing. It carries no badge, no logo or cover, no links hub and no Google rating, and the "Listed on Wash Near Me" line stays on the page. In search results it sits under its own heading, "Managed by their owners", between verified businesses and unclaimed listings. Nothing public changes until you publish.

Confirm your email and subscribe

Choose monthly or annual billing, confirm your email and finish checkout through Stripe. Payment is due at checkout. Checkout starts the account; it does not prove ownership and does not publish the Verified profile.

We confirm that you represent the business by email, phone or an official website. When the email you check out with is on the same domain as the listing's website, that check is automatic and you can publish after confirming access to that mailbox. Otherwise we review the claim manually. If ownership cannot be verified, we end the subscription and refund the payment.

While an existing listing is under review, its original public details remain unchanged and locked. A payment alone cannot let someone edit, redirect or remove another business.

Complete your page

After signing in, use the guided editor to add or confirm:

• Business details, hours and service area
• Service tags and the ways customers can reach you
• Website, social, maps, booking and review links
• Your logo, cover and up to six work photos, uploaded by you
• Connected Google rating and review information where available

Preview the result and publish it when it is accurate. On Pro, the published profile takes quote requests and collects them in your inbox, and Settings carries a snippet that puts the same form on your own website; Pro also carries your packages and prices. Verified includes neither.

If the listing is already claimed

If it is yours, request a fresh link from Sign in. If you believe somebody else claimed it, tell us. A false ownership claim is investigated because it would make the Verified badge worthless.

Changing your mind

Cancel renewal from the Stripe billing portal. At the end of the paid period, the profile returns to its free directory shape and the URL keeps working. Paid content is retained for restoration if you subscribe again; deleting it is a separate explicit request.

If you want the business out of the directory entirely rather than back on the free listing, ask for that on the removal form and read Remove a listing first.
