Asking customers for a review
Updated October 17, 2026
Your Google rating is one of the first things a new customer checks, and the best person to ask for a review is a customer whose job you just finished. Wash Near Me asks every one of them for you.
How it works
- Add your Google review link in Your page, under your links.
- Mark a request Won in your inbox (Requests in the dashboard).
- If that customer left an email, we send them one review request from "Your Business via Wash Near Me", with your review link and one button. The request shows when it went, so nobody is asked twice.
Every won customer is asked the same way. You can switch review requests off for your whole listing in Settings, but not for one customer at a time: choosing whom to ask is the review gating Google forbids.
Each customer is asked once per business, ever. Anyone can stop review emails from your business, or every email from Wash Near Me, with one click, and we honor it. Review emails are part of Pro, with no monthly limit.
The rules
Google does not allow these, and neither do we:
- Offering anything for a review. No discount, no free add-on, no entry into a draw.
- Asking only the happy customers. Ask everyone you did a job for the same way. Filtering who gets asked is called review gating, and Google removes reviews and can penalize the business for it.
- Writing reviews for yourself, or asking staff, friends or family to.
We never write, edit or remove reviews. Your rating on your page is Google's, shown with the month we checked it.
